NSRTC Celebrates Black History Month

The North Salem Republican Town Committee celebrates black history month today by honoring Florida Congressman Byron Donalds. Mr. Donalds was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York and moved to Florida for college, and has been there ever since. Congressman Donalds describes himself as a conservative leader who will fight for Republican values as a liberty loving, pro-life, pro-2nd Amendment black man. In Congress he is trying to continue to drain the swamp in D.C.; while also supporting economic freedom, protecting Floridas most important natural resource- clean water, promoting nuclear power, and decreased government involvement in health care.
Ironic fact. Despite being the first black person elected to Florida’s 19th Congressional District, Rep. Byron Donalds had his membership rejected by the Congressional Black Caucus; which remains all democrats. He is currently Florida’s only black Republican Congressman, and the third black Republican Congressman in Florida’s history.
The Republican National Committee recently did a podcast with Rep. Donalds and RNC Chairwoman Ronna McDaniels. You can listen to this captivating podcast  with this impressive man at
