NSRTC Celebrates Black History Month

The North Salem Republican Town Committee honors Black History month. Evangelist Alveda King is one of the nation's leading pro-life voices, and is also the niece of the Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.  Ms. King has dedicated half of her adult life to the sanctity of life movement, and she believes all life should be respected from the womb to the tomb.  
The disparity in abortion rates is especially troubling in the black community she notes, with them being disproportionately affected originally by racist institutions that started as a eugenics movement against blacks being born.  Read the history of Margaret Sanger and Planned Parenthood.

In addition to her myriad roles as college Professor, civil rights activist, and Presidential appointee; Dr. King also served in the Georgia State House of Representatives, and is the 2021 recipient of the Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award.
