NSRTC Black History Month Tributes

The North Salem Republican Town Committee celebrates Black History month.  Walter E. Williams was a great scholar and professor of economics.  He was also a prolific writer, and public speaker, who defended liberty, freedom, and the free markets.  Raised in Philadelphia’s housing projects, Mr. Williams rejected conventional forms of anti-poverty initiatives, and insisted they were counterproductive to their intended recipients.  He credited his involved mother and demanding teachers for his success.  Read more about Walter Williams publications on liberty here at http://walterewilliams.com/publications/liberty/; and his memorial page at https://www.mercatus.org/scholars/walter-williams
