Crime and Inflation Are More Complex Than a Single Politician or Party

This post expresses the views and opinions of the author(s) and not necessarily that of The North Salem Post management or staff.

We all know that inflation and crime are far more complex than any individual or political party, particularly in the wake of a global pandemic. Of course, everyone wants to feel safe in a home they can afford, but inflation and crime are societal issues that must be addressed in a bi-partisan manner that does not seek to cast blame on politicians or exclude the most vulnerable people. This is why I support Chris Burdick (NYS Assembly), Pete Harckham (NYS Senate), Kathy Hochul (NYS Governor), Antonio Delgado (Lieutenant Governor) and Sean Patrick Maloney (US Congress). These are experienced elected officials who care deeply about our communities. They each have a proven track record for protecting the interests of their constituents while also pressing to protect the environment, reproductive rights and other civil rights. Crime and inflation are important societal issues, but they are not the only ones and history has taught us repeatedly that no single person or party can “fix” them. We need to work together. Please don’t forget to turn the ballot over and vote “yes” on Proposition 1 to support NY State’s commitment to transition to a clean energy economy.
