Ruth Keeler Library announces summer children’s program, "Oceans of Possibilities"

The Ruth Keeler Memorial Library announced its summer children’s program, “Oceans of Possibilities.” The outdoor programs are designed to engage North Salem youth with one another in creative activities and fun throughout the month of July.



Programs are scheduled for 4:00 p.m. (unless otherwise listed) outdoors on the library grounds.

  • Friday, July 1: tie-dye t-shirts
  • Tuesday, July 5: rock painting
  • Wednesday, July 6: sand art
  • Thursday, July 7: pirate treasure chests
  • Friday, July 8: pirate scavenger hunt
  • Saturday, July 9: “Read to Me Dog” from 10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. (registration required)

  • Monday, July 11: pirate map, hat and message in a bottle
  • Tuesday, July 12: pirate bandanas, make a picture frame
  • Wednesday, July 13: birdhouses
  • Thursday, July 14: The Bubble Bus!
  • Friday, July 15: tie-dye t-shirts

  • Monday, July 18: sun and sea turtle necklaces
  • Tuesday, July 19: decorate your own baseball cap (registration required)
  • Wednesday, July 20: butterflies and glow-in-the-dark bugs
  • Thursday, July 21: Lenape Technologies Program
  • Friday, July 22: neptune and mermaid wands

  • Monday, July 25: Mer-people houses
  • Wednesday, July 27: bubble wrap painting - marble paper
