Pequenakonck Elementary School hosted Field Day 2022 on Friday, June 10, a day of outdoor fun to mark the end of the school year.

This year’s Field Day was an all-day festival of fun, as students participated in Field Day games, an assembly featuring the Harlem Hoopsters and an outdoor pizza party with a DJ.

Each grade was assigned a color to wear, with individual classes facing off against one another in friendly competition. Students participated in traditional outdoor games, including tug-of-war, sack races, balancing an egg on a spoon and more.

The PQ PTO Assembly Committee organized the Harlem Hoopsters assembly. The Hoopsters are a group of freestyling athletes who demonstrate the ‘art of basketball’ through dribbling and footwork routines that incorporate music and choreography.

The PQ Student Council sponsored a lunchtime pizza party for all students at the outdoor classroom. A DJ provided entertainment.
