A man was injured by a hit-and-run driver near Primavera restaurant in North Salem Friday night, according to North Salem Police.

Police responded to a report of a male struck by a pickup truck around 9:15 p.m. on Route 22. The vehicle left the scene and was seen traveling southbound on Route 22, according to Thomas Whalen, North Salem Police officer.

Westchester County Police tried to contact the driver, but were unsuccessful as of late last night.

The victim suffered a fracture of his arm, according to a witness, but he told the witness not to call the police and left the scene on foot, heading northbound on Route 22. Responding officers canvassed the area in search of the victim, assisted by members of the Croton Falls Fire Department, MTA police, New York State Police K9 and the Yorktown Heights Fire Department drone. The victim could not be located as of last night.

Anyone with information or video surveillance in the area is asked to contact the New York State Police at 914-277-3651.
