Milton’s at Hygrade Market in Croton Falls, soft opening this weekend
Can you smell that in the air? It’s the scent of freshly made sandwiches, seasoned tacos, and warm coffee and craft beer. All of this and more is made by Milton Ramirez, the head chef of Milton’s at Hygrade Market. The soft opening of the Hygrade Market is this weekend from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, and from 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday.
After living in Croton Falls for eighteen years, Ramirez is excited to be a critical part of the Hygrade Market. The Hygrade, which also includes Parker Mercantile, an artisan general store, will soon have craft beer on tap. In the morning, coffee will also be available.
Ramirez’s food draws inspiration from American, Italian, and Mexican cuisine. Menu options include things like avocado toast, flautas, empanadas, fried calamari, quesadillas, and more. There will be a kids menu available with smaller portions.
The food is going to be “grab-and-go” style, perfect for those who want to run in and grab a quick bite. Yet Ramirez also emphasizes that there will be plenty of seating options for those who want to dine in. Guests will order from the counter, where Ramirez will be “taking orders, and having the food ready for you.”
“I would love to have a store that is always open,” Ramirez said. “That’s why I started.” The Hygrade will be open seven days a week from 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. “It’s a quick place to have breakfast, lunch and dinner,” Ramirez said. “Stop by and join us!”
