Yorktown Stage Theater
The Norm Hathaway 18-piece Big Band with jazz vocalist Stephanie Purcell will present a unique musical show on May 7 at the Yorktown Stage Theater to raise funds for humanitarian aid to Ukraine. Revisit the times of the legendary Clubs of NYC – the Cotton Club, Birdland, and Glen Island Casino... recreated right here in Yorktown! After enjoying breakfast in bed (hopefully!), we invite all moms (and other ladies) to ditch the family for a couple of hours and join us for a brisk social hike. Our Executive Director and local mom, Shantala DuGay-Iyengar, will lead the group along the large loop of the preserve, passing through wooded forest, wetlands, along a stream, and by the hidden lake. All adult ladies (regardless of motherhood status) are welcome, as well as babies under 2 in carriers and friendly dogs on leash. [more details]
