Everything you need to know about Salem Fest at North Salem High School this weekend.

Get fired up, North Salem!

Saturday, May 7 is Salem Fest at North Salem High School. This annual tradition is akin to Homecoming, but for the spring sports season. Typically, schedules align so that nearly all of the spring sports have a home game on the day of Salem Fest. It’s a day for the North Salem community to come together and show their Tiger pride.

This year, organizers are keeping a close eye on the weather forecast as showers are predicted throughout the day. Baseball and softball are the first to be canceled in cases of rain. If the rain holds off, home games will take place for varsity boys and girls lacrosse, varsity boys baseball and varsity girls softball. Each team will recognize their graduating seniors prior to their game. The track team will compete in Somers early Saturday morning.

Throughout the day, the North Salem Athletic Booster Club will host a clothing drive at the front entrance of the Middle School/High School. Community members are encouraged to drop-off clothing, shoes, accessories, and household linens between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. Items collected will be distributed to people in need around the world. Proceeds from the fundraiser–based on total weight of all items collected–will help support North Salem MSHS student athletes.
