How to participate in North Salem civic organizations the week of May 2 - 6

There are three public meetings happening in North Salem this week. The Town of North Salem will hold two meetings and the North Salem Central School District Board of Education will hold one meeting.

On Tuesday, May 3, the North Salem Historic Preservation Commission will meet at 5:00 p.m at the Town meeting hall. Among the agenda items are discussion of progress on creating a list of historic properties in Croton Falls and a discussion about parking on Mills Road and Baxter Road. On Wednesday, May 4, the Town Planning Board will meet at 7:30 p.m. at the Town meeting hall. Discussion items include:

  • Cell towers in town
  • Proposed residential lighting
  • Croton Falls master plan
  • Westlands - best management practices update

Also on Wednesday, May 4, the North Salem Board of Education will meet at 7:30 p.m. The meeting will take place at the Middle School/High School. Members of the public will have the opportunity to comment on the 2022-2023 budget. There will also be discussion on a library fair and a discussion about naming school facilities.
