This weekend, one month finishes and another begins. Sunday is the first day of May, which means summer is not far behind. This spring weekend, things are heating up and plenty of local businesses and organizations invite you to visit them in person. 

Whether it's the soft opening of Parker Mercantile at the Hygrade Market in Croton Falls, an opening reception for North Salem artist Matt Ulrich at CB Gallery in Katonah, or cheering on our student athletes at Tompkins Field or Volunteer's Park, there are so many opportunities to get out and about this weekend with your neighbors and friends.

Prescription drug drop-off event - Sat Apr 30 11:00 am

New York State Senator Pete Harckham will host a Prescription Drug Drop-Off from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, Apr. 30 at the Putnam County Sheriff’s Department, 3 County Center, Carmel, NY. A deputy from the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office, which is partnering with Harckham on this event, will be on site to collect medications for their disposal.
Please note that no needles, aerosol cans, liquids, ointments or lotions will be collected at this drop-off. [more details]
