In a town with few traffic lights, a new stop sign is a big deal.
At this week’s Town Board meeting, town council members will resolve to set a public hearing date to amend the Town code to add a stop sign on David Drive for southbound vehicles at the intersection of Nash Road.
“We have had people pulling out from David Drive and the line of sight on the intersecting road is not sufficient,” said Town Supervisor Warren Lucas, adding, “we have had some complaints.”
The new law will be effective immediately upon filing with the Secretary of State of New York. The Town Board will meet this Tuesday, April 26 at 7:30 p.m. in person at the Town Meeting Hall (66 June Road) and via Zoom.
