For the second time this week, the Croton Falls Volunteer Fire Department and several other local fire departments responded to a structure fire in North Salem. Today’s fire broke out just before noon at a cottage located at 1 Wallace Road, just off of Titicus Road on the eastern edge of North Salem.

The first alarm fire was found to be in the walls of the cottage, according to Croton Falls Fire chief Sean Partenio. South Salem, Goldens Bridge, Mahopac, Somers fire and EMS, Katonah and Brewster fire departments all provided mutual aid, along with the North Salem Volunteer Ambulance Corps. Members were on the scene for approximately two hours.
