Spring-like weather Wednesday will quickly become a thing of the past as a winter storm system moves into our area Friday. A Winter Storm Watch is in effect from Thursday evening through Friday afternoon.
The National Weather Service says heavy mixed precipitation is possible, with total snow and sleet accumulations of 4 to 8 inches anticipated. The snow is expected to start after 1:00 a.m. Friday morning, with 2 -4" possible between Thursday night and Friday morning.
On Friday, snow and freezing rain, mixed with sleet, is expected before 3:00 p.m. Rain or freezing rain is likely after 5:00 p.m.
The hazardous conditions could impact the Friday morning and evening commutes.
