How to participate in town government the week of January 17 - 21

There are three public meetings scheduled to take place in North Salem this week. The Town of North Salem will hold two meetings and the North Salem Central School District Board of Education will hold a regular meeting.

On Tuesday, January 18, the Town of North Salem will hold a joint meeting of the Town Board and the Climate Smart Community Leadership Committee at 5:00 p.m. Agenda items include a presentation of a Greenhouse Gas Emissions Inventory Report and a discussion of how best to use the $20,000 in grant money the town earned. On Wednesday, January 19, the Town’s Planning Board will meet at 7:30 p.m. Agenda items include discussion of freshwater wetlands, a wireless telecommunications law and the Croton Falls master plan. 

Also on Wednesday, January 19, the North Salem Board of Education will host a regular meeting at 7:30 p.m. The meeting will include a presentation of Grade 3 - 8 student performance and the adoption of a cooperative transportation agreement with Brewster, Somers and Yorktown Central School Districts for team transportation services during the 2021 - 2022 school year.
