The North Salem Recreation Department and Ruth Keeler Memorial Library Wednesday announced the winners of their 2nd annual holiday wreath decorating contest. The contest received twenty submissions from individuals and families. Participants vied for a win in one of two categories: People’s Choice and Most Creative.
"This contest has quickly become one of my favorite programs to host," said Lauren Rosasco, Recreation Department leader. "We have so many creative neighbors and I’m always impressed with what their minds can think up. It’s nice to see everyone get in the spirit and have a little fun!"
Wreaths were on display at the Library from December 20 through January 3. Town residents voted for the People’s Choice winners and representatives from local organizations participated in judging for the Most Creative.
The North Salem Lions Club, Keeler Library and North Salem Recreation Department contributed prizes for the winners. "I am grateful to these organizations for supporting this program and I hope it continues for years to come!" Rosasco said.
