North Salem could see its first snowfall of the year this week
Say it ain’t snow.
The National Weather Service is predicting a pretty good chance for snow in our area this week. The first chance comes Wednesday, when the forecast presents a ‘will it or won’t it’ display of possible rain, followed by possible snow, then back to rain. For now, it’s watch and wait but if snow falls, it will likely be minimal, and likely happen before 8:00 a.m.
The real chance, though, comes Friday. As of now, the NWS predicts a 60% chance for the white stuff before 1:00 p.m. If you haven’t yet, now is a good time to get your shovels in position and stock up on any salt for driveways and walkways.
