With just two weekends to go until Christmas, holiday festivities are ramping up in Northern Westchester and Putnam. Mrs. Claus will be in Bedford and the Big Guy himself will be spreading good cheer all throughout Brewster. Celebrity sightings aside, there’s plenty to do, from a festive stroll in Katonah to performances of the holiday classic The Nutcracker in Ridgefield. Sip, skip shop at Katonah’s Holiday Stroll
The Katonah Chamber of Commerce and Katonah Village Improvement Society invite Northern Westchester residents to sip hot cocoa, skip along Katonah Ave and shop the villages small local businesses at the Holiday Stroll Friday evening. Live music will line the avenue and the village’s art galleries will also open their doors for this festive occasion.

Cozy up to Mrs. Claus in Bedford
Enough about Santa. The Bedford Playhouse thinks it's time we focus on Mrs. Claus. This Saturday night, the Playhouse invites locals to meet Mrs. Claus and learn how she helps Santa bring the Christmas spirit to millions of families around the world. Expect singing, dancing and lots of holiday cheer. Tickets required.

Spot Santa(!!) in Brewster
Santa is coming to Brewster! The Brewster Fire Department is mobilizing its fleet to take Santa on a tour of Brewster as part of the department’s annual Candy Cane Run. Santa will cover over 34 square miles during this visit. Check the Brewster Fire Department Instagram page for a complete schedule.

First you hike; then you gingerbread at the Keeler Library
The Ruth Keeler Memorial Library is partnering with the North Salem Open Land Foundation to host a family hike on the Durand Trail behind the library on Sunday afternoon. Learn how plants, trees and animals survive the winter. Immediately following the hike, the library will serve donuts and cider around the outdoor fire pit. Don’t forget to check out the gingerbread house contest entrants inside the library before judging commences.
