On this last weekend in June, there's plenty of summer fun to be had. Right here in town, the first-ever North Salem Arts Festival will take over the little village of Croton Falls on Saturday afternoon. Classic summer activities like amusement parks and baseball games are within a 30-minute drive. And if you like animals and nature, there's plenty to keep you and your family busy this weekend. Support your local artists
The first-annual North Salem Arts Festival is taking place at the Gazebo park in Croton Falls this Saturday. Shop the incredible handmade work of local artists and artisans, including potters, sculptors, painters, glassblowers, milliners and so much more. Beyond the art, there’s plenty more to see and do. Enjoy a cider tasting with Hardscrabble Cider, grab mouthwatering eats from Bob’s Café, pick up a beautiful bouquet from SPACE on Ryder Farm and hear live music from North Salem’s town board member Martin Aronchick.

Get your adrenaline flowing
Playland Park is hosting its opening day on Saturday. The family friendly amusement park in Rye has over 20 rides and attractions suitable for the toddler set as well as thrill rides and coaster that will satisfy even the most daring adrenaline junkie.

Paint in, and with, nature
Get outside and get creative with Lewisboro Land Trust’s Paint with Nature Family Program at Old Field Preserve in Waccabuc. The program starts with a hike along the Nature Trail to gather materials, followed by a painting session led by local artist and mom, Jessica Soinnen-Eddis.

Pegasus Therapeutic Riding Center is hosting its 39th
Annual Horse Show
. The show provides an opportunity for riders with special needs to celebrate their accomplishments with family and friends in a nurturing and supportive environment. The show will be full of activities, including arts, music, grooming, games, ice cream and visits from some new four-legged friends. Online registration is required for timed entry.
