The weather has finally warmed up, and plenty of sunshine is in the forecast for the weekend. Looking for things to do on this, the last weekend before the unofficial start of summer? We’ve got you covered.

Finish your spring cleaning, finally

The North Salem Athletic Booster Club is hosting a clothing drive to support people in need around the world. Proceeds from the drive will benefit North Salem’s middle and high school athletes. Shoes, athletic sportswear, baby & kids clothing and men’s clothing are especially needed.

Embrace the slow food movement

Join Donna Simons for a two-hour “Garden to Table” class, in which you’ll learn all about how to cook what you can grow in your garden. Participants will go out to the garden to gather ingredients for use in the lesson, which will be a combination of instruction, demonstration and hands-on participation.
Saturday, May 22 4:00 – 6:00 p.m.

Take an evening stroll

Katonah-Bedford Hills-Bedford Village Arts League is hosting the Katonah Art Stroll Saturday evening with an ‘art in store’ initiative. Start at the Katonah Museum of Art at 4:00 p.m. and then follow the map through town, stopping in at the participating vendors along Katonah Ave.
Saturday, May 22 5:00 – 8:00 p.m.

Join in a pup parade

Grab your doggo and head on down to Mount Kisco for the first-annual Mutt Mile. Starting at Fountain Park by the Village Hall, humans and their dogs will enjoy a pleasant stroll through downtown, and every dog will get a special bandana to mark the occasion.

Drop by an outdoor bazaar

Ruth Keeler Memorial Library’s annual plant sale and craft bazaar will be chock full of things to buy and things to eat. Crafty youth artists will be selling their handmade art, including paintings, photographs, jewelry, fiber arts and more. 3 Little Pigs BBQ and Mt Kisco Sweets & Treats will be on hand to keep shoppers full while they browse.
