PHOTOS: North Salem High School Salem Fest

North Salem High School, in partnership with the North Salem Athletic Booster Club, hosted its annual Salem Fest this weekend, a spring tradition that celebrates the spring sports season and honors senior student athletes.

This year’s Salem Fest was especially celebratory, as it included a ribbon cutting ceremony for the new Tiger Stadium and a dedication ceremony for the varsity baseball field, which was renamed Outhouse Field in honor of the Outhouse family.

North Salem Board of Education president Andrew Brown delivered a short speech at the dedication ceremony for Tiger Field. Brown thanked the many Board members, past and present, who worked to make the field a reality.

Local leaders attended the ribbon cutting, including North Salem Town Supervisor Warren Lucas, Deputy Town Supervisor Peter Kamenstein, Town Councilwoman Katherine Daniels and New York State Senator Pete Harckham.

Board of Ed trustees Deb D'Agostino, Kurt Guldan and Brandy Keenan, along with North Salem school district administrators, including Superintendent Dr. Ken Freeston, Deputy Superintendent Adam VanDerStuyf, Facilities Director Dr. Johannes Sieverding, Director of Business Administration Adam Stark and Director of Curriculum Dr. Julio Vazquez were also in attendance, along with Athletic Director Denise Kiernan.
