Thomas A. Silvestro of North Salem, NY, passed away on Sunday, April 30, 2023, in Brewster, NY, at the age of 92.

He was born December 13, 1930, in Mt. Vernon, NY, son of the late Thomas & Marie (Ferrari) Silvestro. Thomas graduated from Albert Leonard High School in New Rochelle, NY. Following high school Thomas joined the Army where he fought in the Korean War. He married the love of his life, Rosemary Silvestro, on Sunday, September 16, 1951, at Playland Park in Rye, NY.

Thomas was the owner and operator of Brower’s TV in Mamaroneck, NY. He also worked at Robinson Oil Company in Putnam County.

Thomas was an avid Yankee and Giants fan. Aside from professional leagues though, he really enjoyed high school sports. He was a basketball referee for high school and college games and a golf coach for North Salem schools. Thomas was affiliated with many organizations. He was a member of the Larchmont Mamaroneck Lions Club, Brewster VFW, an executive board member of Starr Ridge Manor Association, and a volunteer transporter at Putnam Hospital for over twenty years. On top of his busy schedule, he would make time to travel to his vacation home in St. Petersburg, FL.

He is survived by his loving wife Rosemary Silvestro of North Salem; his children Thomas M. Silvestro of Brewster and Dineen Bellesheim of Carmel, NY; and his grandchildren Max Bellesheim, Luke Bellesheim, and John Silvestro.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, May 4, 2023, at St. Joseph’s Church in Somers. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery in Rye, NY.
