The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for northern Westchester County from 10:00 a.m. Wednesday through midnight Wednesday. Snow and mixed precipitation is expected, with total snow accumulation of 2-3 inches along with a light glaze of ice. Wind gusts of up to 35 m.p.h. are also expected.
Hudson Valley Weather predicts that the snow will start between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, with the heaviest snow arriving late afternoon into the early evening. Hazardous conditions could impact the evening commute.
The snow is expected to change over to sleet then rain before ending near midnight.
