This weekend starts in one year and ends in a different one. There are all kinds of ways to mark the New Year locally. If you're hosting a party, you're going to want to drop by Folkways Wines in Croton Falls first; on Friday and Saturday they're hosting their annual champagne tasting. If you have young kids, both the Brewster and Ridgefield libraries are hosting Noon Year's Eve parties. And if you're feeling reflective as the calendar turns, there's a breakfast and prayer service at St. James Church in North Salem and New Year's Day hikes at the John Jay Homestead and Mt. Holly Preserve. Read on for our full roundup of New Year's weekend events.
