North Salem High School athletes honored for their fall season accomplishments

North Salem High School recently honored its fall student-athletes for their accomplishments in field hockey, soccer, cross country and volleyball. In all, 44 student-athletes received recognition, including five who were named “All Section,” the highest level award given in Section One athletics.

For individual achievement, Caleb Elias (boys soccer), Skylar Bender (field hockey), Rosie Binette, Dana Connolly and Cassandra Pelosi were all named All Section athletes. Pelosi was also named League Player of the Year. Grace O’Hanlon (cross country), Tyler Spar (cross country), Alex Zoubok (soccer) and Emily Collura (field hockey) each received All Section honorable mentions. Honorees were selected by coaches within the section.

Robert Martin, the North Salem High School varsity girls soccer coach, was named Conference 3-D Coach of the Year by the Section One Girls Soccer Coaching Association. North Salem’s girls soccer team participates in Conference 3 League D which includes Croton Harmon, Haldane, Pawling, and Putnam Valley.

On a team level, the girls soccer and field hockey teams both achieved League Championships this season.
