Another fall weekend is here, chock full of things to do ranging from active and social to intimate and cozy, and everything in between. The Campaign to Keep Guns off Campus, a nonprofit led by North Salem resident Andy Pelosi, is hosting its annual benefit event Friday night. Elsewhere, if you like art, the Katonah Museum of Art kicks off its Creative Community Fridays, with programming for toddlers, preschoolers and seniors. North Salem High School's varsity soccer teams begin playoff action at home this weekend. There's also a big book sale in Ridgefield, hiking at Ward Pound Ridge, a fire department open house in Somers and so much more. Read on to find a weekend activity that's just right for you.

The Campaign to Keep Guns Off Campus is a 501 non-profit gun control advocacy organization that works with colleges and universities across the country to oppose legislative policies that would force loaded, concealed guns on campuses. The Campaign's annual benefit will include cocktails, hors d'oeuvres, live music & a silent auction. The program begins at 7:30pm. Tickets are $50 for North Salem School District residents. There is no instruction, and you can draw, paint or work in any medium you choose. You must bring your materials. There is no registration; just come. Hike the back way into Ward Pound Ridge Reservation from Lewisboro Town Park with LLT board member Paul Collura. This long (4-5 miles), brisk fall hike will feature fall colors as the group makes their way through the forest and along Cross River to Kimberly Bridge before returning to the town park. This hike is rated moderate in speed and terrain. Wear sturdy shoes, warm layers, and carry water and snacks as needed. This hike is recommended for age 9 & up due to length and pace.
