The Town of North Salem hosted its 2nd annual Arts & Food Festival last Saturday in Croton Falls. The event featured hyperlocal artisans and makers, food purveyors, community organizations, kids activities, musicians and artist studio open houses, all dedicated to celebrating the thriving arts culture in our community.
“We couldn't have asked for a more beautiful day to celebrate our town and the very special people within it! The sun was shining and the colors of the changing leaves created a fantastic backdrop to Croton Falls,” said Natalie Gehrels, co-organizer of the festival (along with Alyson Baker and Sue-Jean Kang) and co-owner of Folkways Wines. “We had just over 1200 attendees of all ages. The feedback we received from our vendors was positive, and we hope everybody had a lovely time, as we did! Many thanks to the town of North Salem, the residents, our sponsors, the artisans and the food & beverage purveyors that represent our local community.”
Martin Aronchick, North Salem Town Council member and one of the musical artists who performed at the festival, said, “the North Salem Arts & Food Festival brought people out for a fun event in this glorious fall season, so they could appreciate the special nature of Croton Falls, enjoy the creative offerings of local artists and artisans, and learn about participating local organizations. This was a wonderful event; many thanks to Natalie Gehrels and her team - Alyson Baker and Sue-Jean Kang - for all their time and effort to produce it.”
