Homecoming games at North Salem High School Saturday were filled with dramatic action on the fields and in the gym. Tiger teams experienced some thrilling wins, some unfortunate, heartbreaking losses, and nonstop school spirit from athletes, fans and families alike.

North Salem was victorious over Yorktown 2-1. Emily Collura and Skyler Bender both scored for the Tigers, and Molly Vidella had both assists.
The boys, led by coach Ron Hendrie, won 4-0 over Putnam Valley. Goal scorers included Alex Zoubok, assisted by Caleb Elias; Caleb Elias, assisted by Alex Zoubok; Tommy Coughlan; and Alex Zoubok, assisted by Nicholas Naber.
The girls lost 2-0 to Westlake. Coach Bob Martin described it as “a hard fought game that we came up short on unfortunately.”
There was a lot of back and forth across the net, with the Tigers coming from behind to tie the 5th set, but falling short in the end 13-15. Final was Rye Neck 3, North Salem 2.
The JV girls, playing a person down, fell to Westlake 2-0. Coach Andy Pelosi described the team’s effort as a “ gutsy performance” with just eight players on the field. The team’s record is 3-2.
The boys walked away with a resounding victory , scoring 9 goals and shutting out
Alexander Hamilton.
The girls won in two sets over Rye Neck.
