It's early fall in North Salem and you know what that means: the weekend is packed full of fun local events. It's Homecoming weekend for North Salem High School, the horse shows are in high gear at Old Salem Farm, apple pickers are flocking to the orchards, and in between all of that there are all kinds of lively and local events.
We couldn't narrow it down to a top ten, or even a top 15. Instead, we rounded up nearly 20 great things to do this weekend; read on for details, there's sure to be something for everyone.

Rock n’ Rescue proudly announces that somewhere between 50 -100 dogs, cats, guinea pigs and bunny rabbits will be on their way from the Bowling Green Warren County Humane Society in Kentucky. The animals will be microchipped, vaccinated and spayed or neutered before they are placed on transport. They will all be given a clean bill of health from a veterinarian in Bowling Green. Join a fun and informal group of painters and artists, beginners and experienced, on Friday mornings at the library at 10:30 to work together. There is no instruction and you can draw, paint or work in any medium you choose. You must bring your own materials. There is no registration, just come. The annual Lewisboro Library Fair will take place Saturday, September 17 from 10 am - 4 pm at Onatru Farm Park.
The Library Fair is Lewisboro’s largest community event.
