Metro-North adds extra getaway trains for Labor Day Weekend
The Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) today announced service details for the upcoming Labor Day holiday weekend for Metro-North Railroad, including supplementing early Friday afternoon service with additional trains to help New Yorkers get an early start on the three-day weekend.
Metro-North Railroad will operate two extra trains on the Harlem Line on Friday to allow customers to get an early start on the three-day holiday weekend.
On the Harlem Line, there is one extra express train to White Plains and Southeast departing Grand Central Station at 1:16 p.m., stopping at Harlem-125 St, White Plains and all stations southeast, and an extra North White Plains local train departing Grand Central at 1:52 p.m., stopping at all stations to North White Plains.
Metro-North will operate a normal Saturday schedule on Saturday, Sept. 3, and a Sunday schedule on both Sunday, Sept. 4 and Labor Day, Monday, Sept. 5.
