Lewisboro Land Trust announces "Nature Buddies" fall program for toddlers and caregivers

The Lewisboro Land Trust and Lewisboro Parks and Recreation have partnered to offer “Nature Buddies,” a fall program for toddlers and their caregivers.

The ten-week program, led by nature-based early education specialist Deanna Novak, will explore the natural world through nature walks, stories, songs, art and engineering projects. Each week, the outdoor, all-weather program will offer seasonally-relevant themes.

Organizers noted that Nature Buddies participants should be able to walk independently or get a piggyback ride from their caregiver. The nature trails are not stroller friendly. Babies under ten months old are welcome in carriers.

The Lewisboro Land Trust leads initiatives to preserve land parcels in the Lewisboro area and to link locals to the land through year-round educational programming, including youth and family programs and guided hikes and walks.

Registration for Nature Buddies opens Thursday, September 1.
