Dr. Roy Martin named new principal of Pequenakonck Elementary School
Dr. Roy Martin will be the new principal of Pequenakonck Elementary School in North Salem beginning with the 2022-2023 school year.
The news was announced in an email sent from Superintendent Ken Freeston to North Salem Central School District families Monday afternoon. Martin will replace outgoing principal Mary Johnson, who announced her retirement in May.
“Dr. Martin offers us valuable continuity of leadership and was our overwhelming first choice among the applicants,” Freeston said. Martin joined PQ at the start of the 2021-2022 school year, replacing former assistant principal Dr. Stephanie Bell.
