July 4th 2022: celebrations and fireworks near North Salem

July 4th weekend is upon us, and it’s time to lock in your plans. Are you looking for fireworks? Food trucks? Music? This year, our area has it all. Read on for the local celebrations happening in and around northern Westchester.



Pound Ridge: Fireworks Night
Saturday, July 2

Pound Ridge will host its Fireworks Night July 2 from 4:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at Pound Ridge Town Park (199 Westchester Ave). There will be food trucks and music. Parking permits must be secured in advance at Pound Ridge Police Department. The event is free for residents and $30 per car for non-residents.

Katonah: Pops & Patriots at Caramoor
Saturday, July 2

A tradition continues at Caramoor! Pops & Patriots is a family-friendly concert by the Westchester Symphonic Winds featuring Sousa marches, Broadway hits, and more. Tickets start at $40 for adults. Children are 50% off. Garden listening is $20 or free for members & children.

Southeast: Fireworks Night
Sunday, July 3

Celebrate Independence Day on Independence Way in Southeast. Live music starts at 7:30 p.m. and fireworks go off at 9:30 p.m. Attendees can watch the festivities from the Kohl’s, DeCicco’s or Home Depot parking lots.

Valhalla: Music Fest & Fireworks at Kensico Dam
Sunday, July 3

Once again fireworks will light up the night sky during the Westchester County Music Fest and Fireworks. Pre-concert entertainment begins at 5 p.m. with a guest DJ followed by the FDR Drive Band at 7 p.m. Spectacular fireworks, with the historic Kensico Dam as the backdrop, will follow at about 9:15 p.m. Admission and parking are free.

Wappinger Falls: Hudson Valley Renegades Baseball & Fireworks
Sunday, July 3

The Hudson Valley Renegades minor league baseball team will take on the Brooklyn Cyclones in a July 4th weekend home stand. First pitch for Sunday's game is at 6:05 p.m., followed by post-game fireworks.

Ridgefield: Fireworks Night
Saturday, July 9

Ridgefield High School will be the site of Ridgefield’s annual 4th of July fireworks. Parking passes are required and can be purchased at Town Hall, Fairfield County Bank and the Ridgefield Chamber of Commerce. Gates open at 6:00 p.m.


This article has been updated from an earlier version that incorrectly said the Ridgefield fireworks were scheduled for July 4. In fact, the fireworks are scheduled for Saturday, July 9.
