May Toddler Hike - Thursday, May 13th, 10-11am at Old Field Preserve.
Toddlers will enjoy seeing how much the preserve has changed from April to May.

This program allows toddlers to walk at their own pace, stopping to explore along the way. By returning to the same preserve every month, participants can observe the changes they see in the landscape, fostering a keen awareness of seasons and the cycles of nature.

In May we will observe the many changes that have taken place over the last month. Trees will have blossoms or leaves, and many other plants will be growing anew. Toddlers will also get to check on the seeds they planted last month in the meditation garden. Sturdy shoes and warm layers are recommended. Heavy rain and other inclement weather will cancel (we will still hike in light rain).

The entrance to Old Field Preserve is on the East side of Mead Street (at the intersection of Schoolhouse Road) in Waccabuc. There's plenty of parking in the preserve and on the side of the preserve driveway.

Space is limited to 30 participants and advanced registration is required at: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/may-toddler-hike-tickets-152555314051

COVID SAFETY: While our programs are all held outdoors, the risk of spreading Coronavirus is still a concern. Therefore, all participants (except children under 2) are asked to maintain a physical distance of at least 6 feet from others who are not with their party, and when that is not possible, to wear a mask. Adults who are fully vaccinated are not required to wear masks, but are recommended to have one available for situations when a safe distance is difficult to maintain. We ask all participants to read and agree to our COVID safety guidelines and hold harmless agreement upon registration.
