LA based drummer Charles Ruggiero spent his early years surrounded by legends of jazz such as Art Blakey, Philly Joe Jones, Freddie Hubbard, and Jon Hendricks coming to spend time with his master musician father (drummer Vinnie Ruggiero). 

Charles has played and/or recorded with a “who’s who” of modern jazz like Joshua Redman, Peter Bernstein, Jane Monheit, Ryan Kisor, Joel Frahm, Sam Yahel, Brad Mehldau, Myron Walden, Chris Potter, and Dwayne Burno, to name a few. For his Uncle Cheef debut Mr Ruggiero has assemble a cast of NYC world class groove masters for what will inevitably be a highly entertaining evening of thrilling music and high vibrations.
