Yellow Studio: Life Perceived Opening Reception
Join us for the opening reception of the Katonah Museum Artists’ Association first exhibition at Yellow Studio, Life Perceived. This show features abstract work across numerous media by 26 local women artists.
“We all experience our surroundings and daily life imbued with our own memories, manners of thinking and particular preferences. We pick up on different elements as they relate to our senses and our perceptions of color and light. Artists have their own ways of depicting the world around them based on their style, training and process, paying special attention to color and form. How do you perceive your world through the lens of abstraction? Show us your “Life Perceived.” The theme of this exhibition is as much about the final work of art as it is about the process used to get there, as often is the case with abstraction.” Tina Villaveces, Curator
